Welcome to My New Site!
What can I say? It was time for a move. I had maintained a website of my writing for years, but as my web presence began to grow on different sites, I decided it was time for consolidation.
Here you will find information about my writing, my blog and pictures chronicling my time as the 2014 Indiana Teacher of the Year, and lots of cool links to education and Classics-related sites, including the site for my Roman reenactment. Yes, in addition to teaching high school Latin in Indiana and loving life as a husband and dad, I have been known to dress up as one of Julius Caesar's centurions and recruit for one of the toughest legions ever to fight for the eagles of Rome.
So check it out and see a few of the reasons why I love the life I live!

Vita Mea
So who is Steve Perkins? Good question! I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband, and dad of two. I'm a teacher, author, and speaker. While I do not necessarily go for long, romantic walks along the beach, I do enjoy hiking Indiana's state parks with our family, wood working, and listening to classic rock and hair metal. I collect fountain pens (those are some of mine on the Books & Articles page), and enjoy my Ford Mustang. For those really interested in the scholarly and professional side, feel free to check out my curriculum vitae.
